Blue Line....70/365

Alright, I know it's been a minute since I've posted, but I just want you to know that I am still taking pictures, I am still here, and I am still documenting my 365.

Ok, so after having said that, last week me and the crew had a family day. A family day is defined as we all spending the day together with no interruptions. No phone calls, no work, no texting other people. Just us all day with nothing to do and all day to do it in. On this particular family day we decide to ride the train. We got on the blue line in Long Beach and rode it all the way to L.A., and then on to Chinatown. The train ride was definitely a new experience for us all. There was so much to look at and take in. I loved it and I know the kids did too.

At some point the train goes underground and it actually becomes a subway.

At the end of the line you have to get off at Union Station, and it is awesome. The architechure of this building was A-ma-zing. I was so in love. I could have sat in the main lobby all day and just people watched. That would have been good enough for me. So many stories, so many lives happening all at once.

Chinatown was pretty cool too. It was crazy to see the buildings and signs in Chinese writing as normal. We went into a store and they had all kinds of motions and potions and roots of trees. The only thing we came out with was a bag of fortune cookies. Haha. Of course.

All in all our first family day of the year was a ton of fun. We will definitely be taking the train again, and who knows where we will end up next time. To me, that doesn't even matter, as long as I am with the ones I love we can go anywhere.

Until next time...

...62 & 63/365

I am starting to feel the itch people. The itch that has threatend me since day one, but I was able to soothe until about now. The itch that says quit this darn 365. You are running out of ideas, no one is watching, no one will notice. It was a silly idea any way... I've been trying to put the creative cream on it to keep it at bay, but recently with all the things going on in life right now my creativity has started to run dry and the itch is flaring up again. I haven't missed a day yet, however I know that I am about a week behind on posting. Please forgive me if I haven't posted as often as I should, and forgive me if my pics get a little boring. Just know that I am still here trying to hang in there. ;)

These pics are so random....but hey at least I took something right?

much love,

Tha Chicks....59/365

To be a part of "Tha Chicks" you gotta be a hard core biker, you gotta be ride or die for the crew, and you gotta be ready to roll out on a moments notice. Oh, and one other small detail...you have to be a mommy. ;) Haha! Some hard core chicks are we huh, when first of all there are only 3 of us, and 2/3rds of the group is looking for seats to attach to the bike for our babies! Yeah its funny I know. But hey, we are a group, and my cousin, myself and a friend are the founding members. I actually took a picture with each of us standing by the bikes, but it wasn't my favorite ( you know how I am about my own picture) so this will have to do. But I kind of think of our crew as something that may grow into some sort of sisterhood with our children telling stories and looking back at our pictures reminiscing about their bad ol' biker mamas.

p.s. Us mamas are the chicks and the kids are the chicklets. Cute I know!! Ok, don't laugh too hard at me, or I might just have to cut ya. (just kidding...)

Little things...57/365

Thank you Lord for the little things. You are in the details. You know what makes my heart sing, and I love the way you love me....
You remind me everyday of your grace and mercy and I am blessed just to know You. You are the beginning and the end of my story, and everything in between. The Alpha and the Omega. Before You there was none, and after You there will be no other. Thank you Lord, for the little things...

Puppy Love...54/365

Who doesn't need a little puppy love in their life?

First grade field trip...53/365

Last week me and my girl went on a class field trip to the zoo. It was so much fun! It had been a couple of years since the last time I went to a zoo so it was nice to hang out for a while amongst the animals.

This reminds me of the Lion King...

This dude right here was somethin else. He really did look like he understood everything that was going on and was not impressed. His hand on his hip, leanin' to the side. He was definitely ganster.

Then I took this picture of Sid. After me taking pictures of her and her classmates all day she exasperatedly asked me "Mom, why do you want to take my picture?" And I replied "Because I want to remember this day and remember you exactly how you are today. So that way when I am a grandma and I have forgotten alot of things I can pull this picture out and remember my little Sid-a-lid." She was happy with that answer and gladly gave me the camera love I had been looking for.

Thank you Sid for the memories, and letting this old mama hang with you and your class. I really had a great time. You make me smile...

Ikea and cake....50 & 51/365

Anyone who knows me knows that Ikea is my most favorite store on the planet! I don't have to buy anything either I can just go and be in the store and feel great satisfaction. Of course I always end up buying some random thing that I don't need, but looks cool and only costs 99 cents. My obsession is so bad that my 3 year old, who can't read mind you, just saw this picture of the store and said "Mom! Ikea! Why you take a picture of Ikea?" Yes it's that bad. Anywho, I just figured I'd document the store in my 365 because it has truly become an icon in our home. (lol, I know, I'm over the top with it....)

And this is just because I love birthdays and cake.

Romantic....48/365

There is something about this picture in it's entirety that I find very romantic. It's not just the flower, although that alone is very beautiful. To me it feels like something else.

Last week I was walking the kids home from school when I walked upon this scene, and I had to stop and take a picture. There was no one around, it was just the flower stuck in the door, no note attached. It seemed so sweet to me that someone left a flower for their love to say something like thank you, I love you, I was thinking about you, can't wait to see you. I was here. I don't know call me crazy, call me a love bug, but I adore all the things that this could mean. Of course then again it could mean something way off of what I think. It could be a stalker saying hey I see you (in a creepy voice)... Whatever the meaning I like to believe it's love...and I'm sticking to that story. Happy love on a Monday.

Toothless wonder....44/365

Guess who just joined the hole in one club?

I told her a "whole" new world has opened up for her. I said you can now slurp jello thru the hole, you can stick a straw in there to drink your juice, heck you don't even have to open your mouth to stick your tounge out at your brother.

Imagine Sid, all the possibilities.

Just because...43/365

It's no special occasion. There was no holiday. It's just that today I was reminded of you and I wanted to say thank you. You are not forgotten....

In his eyes...41 & 42/365

In His eyes I am beautiful. He doesn't care if my hair is a mess. He loves me still even if I am having a hard day. He forgives me when I am wrong. He picks me up when I fail. Thank You for being a reflection of the me that I should be.

and then there was Love on 4th and Termino.
