Bye 09. Helllllooo 2010.

Wow! This year is almost over. In a matter of about 15 hours 2009 will be over, done, finito, gone forever, only to be remembered as history. I, for one, am so excited about the new year! Excited about all the new things to come, excited about all the possibilites this next year has in store. I mean I really can't wait! Let me give you a little taste of what's coming up for me.
Starting in January my personal artwork is going to be displayed in 3 of our city's local library branchs. For 3 months my art will be on display. It will be at the Ruth Holley branch in Jan, then at the East branch in Februay, and finally the Fountain branch in March. Let me just tell you, I am super excited about this. Also, when I display my work in Feb at the East branch, I will be hosting a little gallery opening with family and friends. I will let you know the date and time on that a little later. However! If you are in the area and want to view some of my work be sure to check me out at those places.
In other news, my baby sister is getting married in a couple of weeks and I am her matron of honor. I am really jazzed about this too, because I have never been in anyone's wedding before (besdsides my own) and I can't wait to stand by her side.
And now, I have one more piece of huge information coming up in this new year that I can't wait to share. I am not going to do it now, I want to wait until all the boxes are packed, uhem, I mean until all things are in order before I unveil the big secret. ;)

Needless to say, I am more than ready for the new year to roll in. Can't you tell?
So, now as I leave you with my last post for 2009 I thought it would be fun to add some of my favorite photos from through out the year. Some have been here before, some have never made it to the light of day....As a look at the pictures I am reminded how truly blessed I am. We have lost teeth, gotten taller, broken arms, gotten first hair cuts, celebrated another year of love just to name a few. God is good ya'll. Even when we don't deserve it, He blesses us with His goodness anyway. You can't ask for much more than that. I love you all, family and the like, may the Lord bless you richly in the year to come.

California Love pt. 2

This is my cousin Marjar and her family. We took a few pics around the block so that they could have something beautiful to stick in their Christmas card too. ; ) Of course with a little one like this, Christmas or not, your cards will always turn out beautiful!

I just love the way their pics came out. I think the last one is my favorite. It is just perfect. It makes me want one of my own family for Christmas. Yeah, yeah I know, I said I was going to get one done this year, but daaadgum it seems like it is getting harder and harder, and Christmas is getting closer and closer. However! I did make myself a promise, so even if those pictures of my family don't make it into any Christmas cards, I shall...I repeat...I shall take my family's Christmas picture!
Marjar, I miss you guys too much. I can't wait until we can get together again. Luv you.

Califonia Love

So, we went to Cali over the thanksgiving holiday. Man, was it nice. It was so good to see family again. I got to visit my favorite store on the planet {IKEA}. The weather was off the chain!! I mean it was like 85 degrees on Thanksgiving day. We were outside in the backyard in shorts and flip flops, eating turkey and sweet potato pie. We had so much fun.
I also had the pleasure of taking pictures for my cousins. They wanted to have something done for their christmas pictures, and I was more than happy to deliver.

Harley and Waleed are my favorite cousins (over 5'7"), Waleed is so chill and Harley of course is my dawg (http://jaimemariephotography.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-dawg.html). We went to a nearby park and took care of some bizznazzzz.

Hot mama!

This is my favorite picture of the day. My littlest cousin did not want to take pictures at all. Can you tell? HaHa! I love it anyway. I think this is going in the Christmas card.

Ahhh. The weather was nice, the sun was lovely. It was hard to come home... Anyway. More pictures to come from my Cali family....

peace+love,
