My First {Aaron-Senior '09}

I have to be honest. I was a little nervous in getting ready to take pictures for Aaron. He is actually the first senior guy I have taken pictures for. His mom is a friend of mine, so that helped. But really I was kinda scared. I mean with girls you can do all the cute poses, and the cute flowery backgrounds, and put flowers in their hair and it comes out pretty. But with dudes, none of that was going to work. Girls like being in front of the camera, feeling like they could be America's next top model, for them it comes easy. But in dealing with guys in general (some of them) could take or leave fancy pictures. So when it came time to take Aaron' s pics, as I said, I was a little nervous. But, you know, nervousness can some times breed greatness. Now, I am not proclaiming to be "the greatest", we will leave that to Mohammad Ali, however I do think I delivered.

Aaron, I hope you love your pictures as much as I do. I had a fun time hanging with you. Thanks for being my first. ;)

Summer is finito '09

Well my people it seems as though summer is officially winding down. Little by little it is getting darker earlier, and cooling off more in the evenings. School has started and the date is September 1. To me, for some reason, summer ends with August. Although the leaves have not started changing yet, fall is definitely creeping up. I wouldn't say that summer is my favorite time of year, just because it can be so hot, but I do love it. I feel kind of sad when school starts up, I don't get to spend as much time with the kids. I actually miss them a little. Then comes Halloween, Thanksgiving, birthdays and Christmas. It is all such a whirlwind. I sometimes get overwhelmed. And then before you know it, it will be summer again. Then the kids are all a year older, and before you know that they will be graduating high school, college, marriage, and grand kids. Phew! It is all too much to think about. Ok, so I took it a little too far seeing as how my kids are not even in double digits yet (in age), but hey, when reality hits, it hits. So anyway, in honor of summer, I decided to put up some pictures and show you the summer we have had. It was quite an eventful one and I just wanted to share a little of the bright colors and warm weather.

The beginning of summer.

Rockin daddy's hat. No dad doesn't know, cause otherwise he would have a fit!

The son of a friend of ours, I love this picture. It is so much fun.

Hanging with cousins.

We took a trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Sid broke her arm 1 week before school started. She was running on an uneven sidewalk chasing after a ball and tripped. She fell and landed on her arm. It was nasty. But she is on the road to recovery.

We went to Elitch Gardens, and this was Olivia's first ever roller coaster ride. She loved it!! I love all the kids faces, especially the boy in the back wearing blue and orange. His face is just priceless.

The first day of school. Flowers for her teacher.
No, I did not make them wear the same outfits, they wanted to do that. Honestly!

So anyway, we had an awesome summer, and made some great memories. I hope your summer was as adventuresome as ours was. We will see if fall slows things down a bit....Yeah right.
Much love,
~j
