I had a photo shoot last week with the most beautiful, precious, sweetest little baby girl......who just happens to be my niece. ** Here are a few of my favorites.

I know it's been a minute since I've last posted. Things have been kinda hectic around here. So for now I just wanted to say hey, and happy almost friday.

I have 3 children, and because I love taking pictures they are often the objects that fuel my fire. I can't help it, I take tons of pictures of them (when they will let me). Meet O*, she is my oldest child. She is in kindergarden right now and is basically the "mother" of the group.

Next is Sid, she is a rebel with out a cause. So sweet and loving at times it will give you a tooth ache. But make no mistake though she will definately let you know her opinion when she has one. She is for sure a firecracker.

And lastly is Izzy.

He is the baby of the bunch. The girls absolutely adore him. Matter of fact they won't leave him alone -to the point of exhaustion on my part. They are always in his face, and he loves it. I especially love it first thing in the morning when he hears their voices, and then sees their faces, he just smiles so big, it's amazing.

I never dreamed that I would be the mother of 3 children (let alone 2 girls and a boy), but I am, and am truly blessed by them everyday(even if they do wear me out sometimes).

~p.s. can you tell it was hat day. I absolutely LOVE hats.

My first shoot

Ok, so here are some pictures from my first newborn shoot. This is J*, and he was about 2 months old. He was so adorable and a very good baby.

I am told that one of the pictures from this shoot won J* a baby photo contest. How exciting! Thank you to his mama for letting me try out my skills on her precious newborn.

It all started when....

I have decided to give a little history lesson on myself...
My love affair with photography began about six years ago, after I had my first child. Back then I had just your basic ol' film camera and since we lived in a different state than my mother I promised her that I would send pictures of her (then) only grandchild. So I started taking tons of pictures of Livi. But, as these things with film tend to go, alot of my film ended up un-developed in our junk drawer. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved seeing images of my lovely daughter but I guess you would just call it laziness as the reason I never turned anything in (matter of fact I still have undeveloped film rolling around in my drawer). But anywhoo, fast foward to 2002. That is when I got my first digital camera, it was a Kodak easy share. I loved it's instant gratification capabilities. I mean I could see the picture right after I took it, and then decide if I wanted to take another. It was great. Although, I never did think my pictures were anything but ordinary, my husband would always tell me they were exceptional(wink** wink**). So I decided to take a photography class at the community college. It was there that I found out what I could really do... if I had an SLR. I ended up getting my first digital SLR at the end of 2006 as a b-day and christmas gift combined (thanks grandpa!). I started to believe HEY maybe I do have an "eye" for these types of things and I really could make it my business. Jump ahead to 2008 and here I am, starting my photography business, making the thing I love to do my job. I am so excited about all the things to come and can't wait to make beautiful pictures!
