I have to be honest. I was a little nervous in getting ready to take pictures for Aaron. He is actually the first senior guy I have taken pictures for. His mom is a friend of mine, so that helped. But really I was kinda scared. I mean with girls you can do all the cute poses, and the cute flowery backgrounds, and put flowers in their hair and it comes out pretty. But with dudes, none of that was going to work. Girls like being in front of the camera, feeling like they could be America's next top model, for them it comes easy. But in dealing with guys in general (some of them) could take or leave fancy pictures. So when it came time to take Aaron' s pics, as I said, I was a little nervous. But, you know, nervousness can some times breed greatness. Now, I am not proclaiming to be "the greatest", we will leave that to Mohammad Ali, however I do think I delivered.

Shania {Senior 2010}
Shania is a sweetheart. She sought me out to take her senior pictures after seeing the pictures I took of her sister Charaia, who was a senior last year (see the sidebar 2008+July+Senior 2009). I had a fun time with this flute player from Air Academy. As we walked, we talked. We talked about the things she had planned for her future after high school, where she wanted to go, what she wanted to do, the shape she wanted her life to take. You see I love high school seniors. They are, in general, a funny species. They are young people that are at the beginning of "the rest of your life", and I love talking to them about what they are going to do with that life. Granted, half time they don't know, but hey it is always a good conversation starter. Anyway, Shania and I had fun walking around Old Colorado City looking for little nooks and crannies to post up in so that her pictures would come out great. I think we did a pretty good job...

Tara + Erica Seniors 2010
Imagine having a permanent friend. One that was always there when you needed them. One that knew what you meant to say even if what you said wasn't really what you meant to say. Someone who has been there since birth. Wait, I mean before birth, since your beginning. (No, I am not talking about Jesus, although he is the friend that is like no other. We will save that PSA for another day.) :) I am talking about Tara and Erica. They are twins. I have known these girls since they were toddlers, and a couple of weeks ago I got to take their senior portraits. I will not say how old I was when I first met them, cause then that would give you a clue as to how old I am. Let's just say it has been at least 17 years, and now they are finally seniors. Their bond was amazing to watch. They look just alike, they laughed at each others private jokes, heck, if one of them trips the other one quickly trips so that her sister is not left alone. I love that! ( They actually demonstrated that benefit for me when I tripped on my sandal. One of them stumbled right behind me automatically! It was great, I need something like that all the time.)
Anywhoo, I had such an awesome time hanging with these two cuties. You can tell from their pictures alone that they have fun wherever they go. Even if no one else is around, these two will always have each other. Always.

Positive K
Man! I have so many pictures from my Denver trip, it is taking me a while to get through them. It seems like I never have enough time to get all the things I have planned for the day done... let alone pictures. HOWEVER, a little birdie told me my cousin has been waiting to see her pictures. So BAM! Here they are. This is Keli, she is a senior this year, and I can't.believe. it. My how this girl has grown. I love her soooo much, she has turned out to be quite the young lady, and I am so proud of her. I did not officially take her senior portraits, just a few around the block, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will drive out to Denver any time she is ready. Any Time. SO Keli call me. Love u.

Senior 2009
Air Academy high school is in the house!!!! Charaia is my senior rep for Air Academy this 2008-2009 school year. Last sunday Charaia and I took some time and went to the west side of town for her photoshoot, we had alot of fun. Here, for Charaia, is a taste of what's to come...a few of my favorites....

You can't tell, but there were grasshoppers all in this field. Every time you took one step about 30 grasshoppers jumped in 30 different directions. It was pretty crazy. I just want to thank Charaia for braving the field with me, and showing off her glorious smile.

Girl, I think you are a beautifully blessed. I wish nothing but the best for you in your senior year. Have fun and enjoy, because college will be here all too soon. ; )

Senior not Citizen
Yes she is a senior, but not a senior citizen! HA HA HA. Ok, bad joke, anyway...

Bre is graduating in 2 weeks. Yayyyy! I know she is super excited, and I know her parents are even more excited than that. After she graduates she will be getting married and joining the Air Force...talk about life in the fast lane...but hey what are you going to do with two kids in love.... Good luck Bre, no wait God bless (becuase we all know there is no such thing as luck). I wish you the best on this new journey. May your heart always hear His voice.
Isn't she lovely.....

The lucky man...

2009 Senior Rep
Calling all seniors! Calling all seniors!
The 2007-2008 school year is fast approaching it's end. Spring break is in a few weeks. Then it will be summertime! Yaaaay!! So right now j'marie photography is looking for it's 2008-2009 high school senior representative. What does a senior rep do you may ask. Well they are given the hard task of being in tons of beautiful pictures, and sharing those pictures with their friends. Yep, you heard me right, showin' off yo fine self for me and all your friends is the hardest thing I am going to ask you to do. Of course there are other benefits for the '09 rep as well* I will let you know more on that to soon*. But as for now, if you are interested in applying to be my senior rep for 2009 shoot me an email at j_renville_@msn.com . Ahite? Ahite!
Now here are a few photos from a senior session I did last year.
